25 Gallons of Live Beneficial Phytoplankton Concentrated in a 3.5g Bucket

$549.99Price

Concentrated. Ships overnight in one 3.5-gallon bucket. Your 25-gallon dose is centrifuged down so the whole order fits in a single bucket — lower freight, simpler storage, same season-strength biological punch.

Live concentrated phytoplankton — the foundation of a thriving lake ecosystem. Treats 1 to 2 acres of pond or water body on the initial application.

WHAT IT DOES

  • Naturally keeps lakes healthy, improves water chemistry and promotes aquatic life to thrive.
  • Outcompetes harmful algae for phosphate, ammonia, and nitrate — the nutrients that fuel toxic blooms
  • Increases dissolved oxygen and feeds zooplankton & minnows — restoring the natural food chain
  • Supports a balanced, productive aquatic ecosystem
  • 100% chemical-free, safe for fish, wildlife, livestock, swimmers and pets
  • Reproduces to competitively exclude toxic or other nuisance algae and cyanobacteria

WHAT'S IN THE ORDER

(1) 3.5-gallon bucket of fresh live beneficial phytoplankton concentrate of multiple species, sealed for transit direct to your water body or job site.

DOSING (TYPICAL)

25 gallons treats 1 to 2 acres of water on the initial application. Phytoplankton constantly consumes nitrogen and phosphate and sustainably grows so additional applications are typically unnecessary unless nutrient levels rise later in the season. Phytoplankton reproduces exponentially and rapidly consumes nutrients on your behalf 24/7.

ORDER & DELIVERY

  • Order as soon as possible. Phytoplankton is live and the sooner a water is boosted with beneficial phytoplankton the less chance other toxic or nuisance algae have access to nutrients.
  • Ships Monday–Thursday via overnight or dedicated freight
  • Order by Sunday 5pm MT to receive this week
  • Ships to any location in the continental United States.
  • Tracking emailed the moment we hand off to the carrier

HOW TO BOOST YOUR WATERS

Easy! Temperature acclimate your order to the water by resting the bucket on the shore so the lake water can balance the temperature of the bucket. Then pour your beneficial phytoplankton directly into the current of the water from shore, dock, boat or inflow points so the algae can be pulled out and distributed into the water.

FOR GOVERNMENT & INSTITUTIONAL BUYERS

Hydralife is one of the sole commercial-scale producers of live, beneficial phytoplankton concentrate in the United States. We work directly with parks & recreation departments, public health agencies, and water-quality authorities under sole-source procurement arrangements. • Shipping Format — One Bucket, One Dose

Yes — your 25-gallon dose arrives in a single 3.5-gallon bucket. The dose is centrifuged into one bucket before it leaves our facility.

What "25 gallons" actually means. Hydralife's gallon counts measure live phytoplankton biomass — the working biological dose — not water weight. A 25-gallon dose contains the same cell density and the same season-long potency as if we'd shipped you five 5-gallon pails of pond-strength liquid. We just removed the water so freight and storage make sense.

Why centrifugation, not dilution. Live phytoplankton survives concentration. Our closed-system photobioreactors produce billions of cells per milliliter; centrifuging removes the surrounding medium without harming the cells. When you pour the bucket into your pond, the cells rehydrate within seconds and resume reproducing at 21–54% per day in warm conditions.

    What this means for you.

    • One overnight box, not a pallet. Lower freight cost, no liftgate or dock required.
    • One bucket to store, one bucket to pour. Easy receiving, easy application — no inventory headache.
    • Faster, fresher delivery. Less volume = faster transit = the culture arrives healthier.
    • A clear competitive advantage over chemical algaecides. Cutrine, copper sulfate, and blue pucks ship in bulky, heavy containers. Hydralife concentrates the active ingredient and ships it overnight.

How to dilute on-site (optional). If you want to spread the dose across multiple inflow points by boat or sprayer, fill a clean tank with pond or fresh water, pour the bucket in, mix gently, and distribute. Cells tolerate dilution well. Do not use chlorinated municipal water without dechlorinating first.

  • How to Apply

Pour directly into the water from shore, dock, or boat. Spread the dose across the widest possible area for fastest colonization. Acclimate to your water temperature for 30 minutes if conditions differ significantly. No equipment, no permits, no safety gear required.

  • What to Expect

Phytoplankton begins consuming nutrients within hours of application. Cells multiply at 21–54% per day during the warm season. Measurable results typically appear within 7–14 days: clearer water, increased dissolved oxygen, and visible reduction in nuisance algae.
